The model reached buyers through the company that holds the exclusive dealership for JAECOO in Egypt, which introduced JAECOO J5 to the local market.

The petrol version runs a turbocharged engine of 1.5 liters, rated at 145 hp with maximum torque of 210 Nm. Power reaches the front wheels through a CVT transmission.
According to the announced data, the model records 9.8 liters per 100 km in city driving and 6.2 liters per 100 km outside cities, for a combined average of 7.5 liters per 100 km, while the fuel tank holds 51 liters.
